iOS Development Resources and Open Source Librariees

1. FXImageView  iOS Library For Adding High Performance Shadow And Reflect Effects To UIImageViews

An open source library for adding image effects, but more importantly uses caching and queuing so the effects can be applied quickly in real time making it ideal for multiple image viewers such as image carousels.

You can find FXImageView by Nick Lockwood on Github here.

There's also a UIImageView category for UIImageView scaling, cropping, and effects making this an excellent library any time you want to add basic effects to an Image.

2. MobiRuby Open Source Ruby For iOS Implementation That Actually Works (Alpha)

A working (although still in Alpha) open source implementation of Ruby for iOS development.  Unlike other open source implementations this one actually works.

You can find MobiRuby by Yuchiro Masui on its homepage here.

MobiRuby is still in alpha, but it definitely looks like it's off to a great start.
