Today iOS Development Resources, Articles, Tutorials and Open Sources

1. UI Control Allowing You To Place Expanding Image Thumbnail Callouts On A MapKit Map

An open source control providing a way to make image thumbnail annotations on your MKMapKit apps.  The thumbnails expand to a full
annotation with a clean animation when clicked.

You can find JPSThumbnailAnnotation on Github here.

Definitely a very cool library for highlighting landmarks on a map.

2. iOS UI Control For Easily Creating A Paged Gallery View With Built In Asynchronous Image Downloading

A library allowing you to create sliding image gallery views that you can easily drop into an app using interface builder inspired by the FourSquare app complete with asynchronous image downloading.

You can find KIImagePager on Github here.

A nice easy way to drop a gallery view right into an app.

  1. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year

old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the
    shell to her ear and

screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.

She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is

completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
