Swift's grand entrance to the programming world at WWDC in 2014 was much more than just an introduction of a new language. It brought a number of new approaches to software development for the iOS and macOS platforms. This tutorial focuses on just one of these methodologies — Functional Programming or FP for short — and you'll get an introduction to a broad range of functional ideas and techniques used in FP. Getting Started Create a new playground in Xcode so you can follow along with the tutorial. Keep in mind that this tutorial will cover FP at a high level, so thinking about the concepts through the filter of a real world situation will be helpful.
