Developing Native Python Microservices to Deploy on Mesos

Many businesses are currently engaged in the shift from monolithic applications (where the whole application is housed in a single codebase, and scales all at once) to microservices-based applications (where each component of an application is housed in its own codebase and can scale independently). Containers enable this shift by providing a way to develop, run, and scale independent microservices, but as the contents of a container get bigger, these processes become less efficient. However, many traditional monolithic applications were written in languages like Python that require access to big code libraries, and no one wants to rewrite their application in a whole new language and restructure their codebase at the same time. Fortunately, the Python community has produced tools to convert Python code and all its dependencies into a relatively small binary, which can be run by the Mesos containerizer (and therefore, also by Mesosphere DC/OS's universal container runtime).
