Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list

This issue can be caused by different factors, like databinding at the wrong moment of the ASP.NET Page life cycle or, for example, referring a non-existent control.

Or,

The error can be in string.Format like function with wrong number of input as

string.Format(@"insert into table_1 (vch_value) values('{1}')", "the value of i is " + i)

You have to use argument starting from 0 i-e

string.Format(@"insert into table_1 (vch_value) values('{0}')", "the value of i is " + i)
