The Mac OS X "Cocoa Auto Layout" feature that enables constraint-based automatic sizing of interface elements was added as a new UI capability in iOS 6. This is great if you're creating a new app that targets only iOS 6, but what if you want your app to run on older iPhones and iPads? Well, either roll your own UI resizing, or take a look at Rolandas Razma's RRAutoLayout on Github, which lets you extend auto-layout to iOS 5, too.
